Quilts of Valor in Chester, Vermont

The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with comforting and healing Quilts of Valor. This means that 100% of United States war veterans will eventually receive a Quilt of Valor…it may take years to accomplish, but the process is well underway. On Saturday July 30 at approximately 6 PM, over 30 Quilts of Valor will be given on the Chester Green in a tremendous ceremony lead by the Harley Davidson riding group called; Iron Adventure Run.



The Iron Adventure Run is holding a rally at Jackson Gore, Okemo Mountain Resort in Ludlow, VT on the weekend of July 28, 29, 30. Vermont’s Lieutenant Governor will lead a special Parade from Ludlow to Chester the evening of Sat the 30th. An ice cream social, pie eating contest and Quilts of Valor giveaway to over 30 veterans will take place on the green.

  • Country Treasures quilt shop located on the Chester Green is organizing and completing these 30 Quilts of Valor for this presentation.
  • The Southern Pie Company shop located on the Chester Green is organizing the Pie eating contest
  • The Lazy Cow, a mobile ice cream café will join us on the Chester Green
