Vodka in Vermont

The mere sound of the word “Vodka” congers up thoughts of Russian foods and drink, but have you ever considered the words “Vodka & Vermont” in the same sentence?  There is a wonderful place in Windsor, VT called; Silo Distillery where you can enjoy a sip of Vermont’s finest!

The distillery is one of several businesses within the business park;
home to the famed Harpoon Brewery, Simon Pearce, Vermont Farmstead Cheese, Great River Outfitters, and the Path of Life Sculpture Garden.  So while visiting the Silo Distillery you can also enjoy a number of other Vermont favorites, such as the longest and oldest covered bridge in the USA crossing the Connecticut river into New Hampshire, a brewery tour of Harpoon, or tube the CT river.

Located only a 45 minute drive from Inn Victoria, this wonderful gem is well worth taking an afternoon to explore.  Read previous posts of Rachel and me canoeing the CT river by way of the Great River Outfitters….with (of course) a beer from Harpoon Brewery afterward.
