What a delight it is to meet a family fulfilling their dream to accomplish their Great American Road Trip. Imagine if you were to take the time to plan and pack for a Great American road trip of your own.
We were dearly blessed by this family last week when the first hurricane of the season kept them from enjoying their planned trip to Boston; they decided to invest their time in Chester, Vermont and stay with us at Inn Victoria. What drew them to Inn Victoria?…A gluten free diet and our ability to cook to their needs. This wonderful family set off in early June to see the country, but with such an important dietary restriction that it became a critical part of their planning effort.
“Our biggest limitation was access to gluten-free food for all of us. We have been privileged to enjoy gluten-free restaurant items in urban areas on the West Coast, but this would be more difficult in some parts of the country. In the past, we found tremendous relief in bed and breakfasts that emphasizes personalized service, including dietary accommodations! Indeed, it was not impossible to find these along our new route, and most were competitive with mid-priced hotels in the area. Using Google searches, online reviews, and a few phone calls, we were able to make reservations that suited our needs and promised to satisfy hungry teenagers”
We at Inn Victoria are proud to have met the dietary needs of one more family in love with travel and adventure! Shari and family, quite aptly, posted their diary on this date as; Aaaaaah, Vermont!
Thank You Shari & Family for sharing your dreams with us all. Thank you for your inspiration.
