How to Run a B&B 5 Innkeeper Secrets

In 2013 Yankee Magazine wrote a full eight-page article on the life of B&B owners, Penny & Dan Cote at Inn Victoria in Chester, Vermont.  Returning four years later, Yankee Magazine is focused on “How to Run a B&B” and some secrets to success.

“Most rewarding for us”, says Penny & Dan; “are the notes to the editor at the close of this short e-article in Yankee Magazine’s New England Today.  We love the encouragement offered by guests / friends and the affirmation of other Bed and Breakfast owners.  It is truly a rewarding profession, one in which we have been dearly blessed to experience.  The dream of owning our own business and enjoying the life of hospitality is now reality for us and we praise God that this opportunity has been fruitful for us.”

“You’ve got to love people and have a zeal for learning about them”, says Dan.  “Penny and I are servants at heart, I guess that’s why running a B&B is natural for us.  We are thankful that Yankee Magazine and New England Today‘s author, Ian Aldrich have been able to recognize these attributes and capture them in these articles.  Not an easy thing to do.”
