Scenic Vermont Train Rides in Southern Vermont

Fall Foliage in Southern Vermont is a spectacular event; combine a trip to VT with a stay at Inn Victoria in Chester and a Scenic Vermont Train Ride.

Ride the rails from Bellows Falls, VT northwest along the Connecticut river valley into the Green Mountains, past Inn Victoria into the “Prettiest Painted Village in Vermont”, Chester Depot.  The ride will take you through countless maple groves which produce spectacular scenery in the fall as well as world class maple syrup in the spring.

Make it a romantic 2 hour dinner ride on a Saturday evening, or a family adventure.  This is an excursion that will take you back in time with original trains, coach cars and even a few skits along the way to add some entertainment.  The Southern Vermont excursions depart Bellows Falls at 11 AM and 2:30 PM each Tuesday and Friday October 1st through October 25th.

Two special rides you’ll want to consider if you have a little more time include:

  • Friday, September 20  Bonnie & Clyde ride the rails and get arrested.
  • Saturday, October 12  An all day trip to Rutland, VT and back includes entertainment and a cash bar
